Abandonment in games #1 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

The game industry has it`s junkies, people that love what we love, and with the ability to implement the creepiest places in creepy games. This is the first post of the series, featuring S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

  1. I've spent many hours playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for the exact same reason.
Anyway, there's an interesting blend from Strugatskis' "Roadside Picnic", the unbelievably beautiful "Stalker" by Andrej Tarkowsky, who interpreted the novel providing most of the visuals base for the game, and that strange twist of destiny: Chernobyl.
All in all, some kind of new mithology to read our possible future from... while waiting for the Fukushima meltdown.
Thanks for the stuff. I'm sorry most of the posts go uncommented, your work is remarkable.

  2. Thanks Pablo, I really appreciate it.
